Lisburn City Council

Five years after taking over the promotion of the Ulster GP the Dundrod and the UGP Supporters Club’s were invited to an official reception hosted by the Mayor of Lisburn City Council Trevor Lunn. Guests heard the Mayor saying that he was most impressed with the organising of the event and has truly become a converted motorcycle fan. He also added that safety is still paramount for riders and spectators and hopes the safety work around the Dundrod will stand the event in good stead in years to come. He then presented both the Dundrod and UGP Supporters Club’s with Council plaques and both Noel Johnston and Leslie Moore with recognition awards for their work during the 2006 event.
Dundrod Chairman Sefton Thompson also presented the Mayor with a crystal decanter in appreciation of all the work and contribution the Council have contributed to the event.
