One of Northern Ireland’s
oldest sporting events the Ulster Grand Prix is celebrating
the news that leading local daily newspaper The Belfast Telegraph
is backing the 2007 event representing a combined support
package of cash, editorial and in-paper promotional support.
Belfast Telegraph Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week is set to take
place this summer at the Dundrod circuit from 12th –
18th August with the main Race Day events scheduled for Saturday
18th August.
Belfast Telegraph
editor Martin Lindsay said the company was very pleased to
lend its support to one of Northern Ireland’s top sporting
events. “A signature event in Northern Ireland’s
summer sporting calendar, the Ulster Grand Prix attracts over
30,000 visitors during Bike Week, and we believe that it’s
crucial that an event of this stature should be enhanced and
developed. The Belfast Telegraph is delighted to provide a
significant cash injection and in-paper support, in the lead
up to and during the Ulster Grand Prix this August. We pride
ourselves on our in-depth and extensive sports coverage of
major local events and the UGP is no exception. We look forward
to a safe and exciting event and to welcoming the many thousands
of riders, teams and spectators from all over the world.” |
